Hi Ya'll. I am so pleased you made your way to my bio. I am currently pregnant with our second boy and am not taking on new clients. I will be on Maternity leave from September 2018-January 2019. I highly recommend my husband Dr. Harris, he is the best acupuncturist I know! To read more about him click here. Thank you again for your interest in acupuncture.
About Dr. Mara LAc.
Hello and welcome to Peachtree City Acupuncture. I am thrilled you are considering acupuncture and Chinese medicine as a part of your healing path. I know that for some this medicine can seem strange but I invite you to explore it and see what benefits it has in store for you.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are my passion and I feel blessed that I have the opportunity to offer value in this way to our community. I also love to chat with people and answer your specific questions, so please feel free to call me. You might even be lucky enough to hear our son Zachary in the background helping mama with her clinic!
My husband (who now works with me!), our son and I live here in Peachtree City and we love the friendliness of our neighbors and the gorgeous paths. You may even see me biking around towing my son with me. Please say hello!
I have worked in several clinics both here in Georgia and in California where I received my masters and doctorate degrees in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine). I love being able to work with people of all ages and all walks of life. My youngest clients have been under a year and my oldest over 90. I work with men and women, truly practicing family medicine.
I am also an enthusiastic educator having taught over ten distinct courses in basic TCM theory, Chinese herbology, and Qigong. This is another way I love to share Chinese medicine with our community. Check out my workshops page for our upcoming opportunities to learn together.
If you want even more specifics about my career you can find my full CV here. Thank you again for exploring our site. I look forward to meeting you.
