About Dr. Monica LAc.
Hi everyone, my name is Monica Hilton and I am delighted to be joining the Peachtree City Acupuncture team. I am originally from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Los Angeles, California. My interest in TCM began over decade ago with a suggestion from a friend to try acupuncture for migraine headaches. I immediately loved the holistic, whole body approach. I continue to be deeply motivated by the way TCM works to heal the mind and body as one. It is a privilege as a doctor of TCM to help people get to the root cause of an illness and renew their health.
I have been in practice helping people with chronic pain, auto immune disorders, fibromyalgia, menopause, and digestive complaints, for 7 years. To be able to more deeply help my patients, I recently completed advanced training to become a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. It is my love of this medicine and the results I have seen for my patients that inspires me every day.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist I was a clinical research associate at Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, NC. In that capacity, I visited hospitals all over the country to ensure adherence to study protocol, Good Clinical Practices, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulations. In the future, I want to use my clinical research experience to conduct clinical trials in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
