What is Alpa-Gal?
Alpha-Gal is an IgE mediated hypersensitivity response to galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose. That is a big old mouthful for a sugar found in mammals except for humans. Naturally triggered by tick bites this hypersensitivity or allergy.
Unlike typical food allergies that react immediately, AGS reactions often occur 2–6 hours after consuming animal meat or products with meat in them.
People can experience a dizzying number of symptoms that can take months or even years to diagnose. From stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, to whole body itching, pain and inflammation hives, alpha-gal can effect every aspect of life. Some people even experience coughing, wheezing, and life threatening shortness of breath.

Expectations
Absence Of Symptoms
SAAT® can and often results in a complete absence of Alpha-Gal symptoms, even in severe cases that have been present for years.
The Process
The SAAT® treatment is typically repeated 3-10 times until maximum improvement is achieved. At that time, a maintenance regimen is usually prescribed to prevent regression. Maintenance may be as few as 1-2 times per year.
Treatment Course
The amount of treatment needed to allow the body to fully recover will vary from person to person. This can only be determined after a detailed evaluation.
